The FIBA EuroBasket 2025 is the European Basketball Championship for national teams, held every four years, organized by FIBA (International Basketball Federation), with the participation of 24 national teams from Europe. It is the second most important national team basketball tournament in the world, after the FIBA World Cup (the next one will be held in 2027 in Qatar).
The FIBA EuroBasket was first held in 1935, and most recently in 2022, when the title was won by Spain. The Greek National Team has won the title of European Champions twice, in 1987 and 2005.
The 2025 event will be co-hosted by four countries. Cyprus, Latvia, Finland and Poland. Cyprus will become the smallest country in history to ever host the tournament. Each country will host a group of six teams, while the knockout rounds (to which the top four teams from each group will qualify) will be held in Riga, Latvia. The other host cities are Limassol, Tampere (Finland) and Katowice (Poland).
The Group C matches will be held at the Spyros Kyprianou Arena in Limassol and will feature the Cyprus National Team (as hosts), the Greek National Team (as partner federation) and four other countries, which will be made known during the draw in March 2025. The fifteen matches in Limassol will be played on five different days: 28, 30 and 31 August, 2 and 4 September 2025, with the jump ball of the three daily matches set at 15:00, 18:15 and 21:30 respectively. The full schedule will be finalized after the draw for the final tournament in March 2025.
