The Zelenka Ensemble aims to champion to audiences the exciting and lesser-known chamber music of the Czech composer of the Baroque, Jan Dismas Zelenka. His compositions are known for their intricate harmonies, Avant-garde chromaticism, innovative use of counterpoint and expressive melodies and are often virtuosic and difficult to perform. This programme comprising two Trio Sonatas by Zelenka is definitely a treat for the audience!
‘Ad Libitum’ String Quartet focuses on music of the Baroque and early classical periods, aiming to bring new colours and fresh perspectives to the wonderful music of those times. In this concert they will perform for you two beautiful works by two important Italian composers, Francesco Geminiani και Luigi Cherubini, which promise to inspire both mind and senses. ‘Ad Libitum; Quartet is eager to share the joy of this music with all of you!
