Nicosia Tourism Board – Discover Tylliria
Nicosia Tourism Βoard, in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, is pleased to announce the launch of pilot excursions under the “Discover Tylliria” initiative. The aim of this program is to introduce the public to the rich history and traditions of the remote Tylliria region and to enhance its tourism appeal.
The first excursion will take place over the weekend of October 12-13, 2024. Transportation to and from Tylliria from Nicosia, as well as guided tours of the area’s points of interest, will be sponsored by NTB and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
The excursion itinerary includes visits to various points of interest such as the Medieval Tower, local churches, the archaeological site “Avli,” a visit to a workshop producing traditional Halitzi cheese, traditional kilns, and a photographic walk at the picturesque harbor of Kato Pyrgos.
