The ISAF Youth Worlds was first held in Sweden in 1971, since then the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship has gone strength to strength and has established an impressive legacy. The Youth World Championship began with sixteen nation’s participation where last year it has reached the 60 countries all over the world. Cyprus! Is the 43rd Organizer Country! The Championship is organized by the Cyprus Sailing Federation and it aims to inspire the athletic spirit, promote team work, indulge young people to get involved in sailing and set Cyprus as a world sailing destination. The ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship, Limassol 2013 is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Mayor of Limassol, Mr. Andrea Christou. The ISAF Youth Sailing Championship, Limassol 2013 is supported by the Cyprus Sports Organisation and the Cyprus Tourism Organisation.
